Ty Syčáci | Budoár Staré Dámy | Voicebabes
Two distinctive Brno-based artists and performers, Petr Váša and Marta Kovářová, will perform at the Brno Art Week festival with their bands, joined by the fresh vocal ensemble Voicebabes.
An evening of uncompromising style and perseverance in bringing their own visions to life!
led by the legendary Petr Váša, have put together a special anniversary program in which they will take the audience on a journey through all their albums. Ty Syčáci’s greatest strengths are their uncompromising, edgy style and their persistence in bringing their own visions to life. Thanks in particular to their energy on stage and the electrifying atmosphere they create while performing, Ty Syčáci appeal to a wide range of listeners.
The band was formed in 1998 and is considered a successor to the traditions of Brno alternative rock. Their style is easily recognizable thanks to energetic female vocals, catchy melodies, poetic lyrics, and the unusual bending of Czech words. Marta Kovářová’s intuitive, at times delicate, at times brutal vocals are complemented on stage by Marek Laudát’s guitar and the playful rhythms of drummer Petr Fučík and bassist Tomáš Ergens. Their concerts radiate the joy of playing, with the urgency of the songs’ messages alternating with lighthearted humor during the breaks between songs—you never know what you’ll hear next!
A young, energetic trio of artists, scientists, and philosophers who don’t hesitate to humorously “voicebandit” poetry, a receipt, or an unmemorable piece of fabric. Their debut album DPUS1P20S (Didactic Songs of Artistic Movements of the First Half of the 20th Century) captivates with its unique voiceband interpretation of artistic movements!
