An exhibition by Peter Graham (1958), whose real name is Jaroslav Šťastný, who is known primarily as a composer and improviser. However, his composing activity is often linked to his artistic expression. Since the 1970s, he has been creating graphic and conceptual scores; let us recall at least the legendary Orpheus’ Garden, or his object – the score Experimental Music. The basic principle of his approach to creation is distance from the so-called mastery of the craft, unified principles of composition, and on the contrary, the effort to find new approaches, new paths. He always starts from the beginning, freed from himself. And we find this principle in his artistic work as well.
