RUDOLF SIKORA: FOR AND AGAINST

00.00  Moravská galerie v Brně

An exhibition of works of the renowned Slovak artist Rudolf Sikora – painter, illustrator, graphic artist, photographer, sculptor, and long-time educator. Sikora is one of the most important figures in Slovak conceptual art and ranks among the key figures of the Czechoslovak art scene of the 20th century. His work, often shaped by existential questions, ecological themes, and a critical view of the state of the world, is characterized by visual restraint and extraordinary intellectual density. Through precise gestures, symbols, and distinctive use of space, Sikora’s work opens up current and timeless reflections on humanity, society, and our responsibility for the world we inhabit. The exhibition offers a unique opportunity to gain insight into the complex visual language of an artist who has long shaped the form of Slovak and Central European art.
