Eva Vaňová: Workshop and guided tour

26. 4.  10.00  Faculty of Art, Masaryk university

Do you remember seeing the city through a child’s eyes? What was it like when you walked through it for the first time, without a map and without preconceived notions?

The creative participatory program accompanying the exhibition “Mapping Through Children’s Eyes” invites you to slow down and look at a familiar place from a different perspective. At the beginning of the session, project creator Eva Vaňová will discuss her collaboration with the DROM social centre and how workshops with children lead to personal maps of the places where they are living. She will demonstrate how children’s drawings and shared experiences are transformed into an original piece. Based on this principle, we will then set out together into the area surrounding the faculty and capture the space through personal perception, impressions, lines, and traces.
From these individual records, a collective map of our shared experience will emerge, and you will be able to take home a fragment of it.

Families with children are welcome to attend the workshop.:)
It is recommended that you bring work clothes.
The workshop will take place in the faculty courtyard if the weather is nice; otherwise, the activity will be held in room C11.
Admission: free
