Petr Kvíčala’s exhibition in the Fait Gallery presents his works from the last fifteen years. In his art, Kvíčala focuses on ornament as an issue of mathematical order, and at the same time as an aesthetic phenomenon with a bad reputation. Ornaments continue to permeate Kvíčala’s paintings like a mycelium, sometimes hidden, sometimes as signals. This polarity is perhaps more distinct in the period mapped by the current exhibition than in the earlier stages. Parallel to painting, work with wood comes into the fore again. Petr Kvíčala invited Karíma Al-Mukhtarovou to participate in the exhibition as a guest artist.⁣
