Past Worlds Today: A Gouache Painting Workshop

Step into a place where time flows more slowly, fires burn brighter, and drums sound louder. A place where ancient customs, laws, and values persist.

We invite you to a two-part gouache painting workshop with artist Libor Sigmund in the unique setting of the Anthropos Pavilion. How do the ancient worlds in Zdeněk Burian’s paintings relate to the lives of the indigenous peoples of today’s Amazon? Together, we will understand the fragility of the relationship between humans and nature and remind ourselves that its preservation is solely in our hands.

The workshop is open to participants aged 12 and older. We will learn the basics of gouache technique, by inspired by the temporary exhibition of the Anthropos Pavilion, and create past worlds in the present.
